  1. 만화 언어의 설득력을 믿으며, 칸과 기호의 배열을 통해 우울의 흔적을 그려낸다. 살갗 위의 흉터는 이미지와 서사로 전환되며 기억 속 잔상은 동시대의 증언으로써 기록된다.
    Believing in the persuasive power of comic language, she draws traces of depression through the arrangement of squares and symbols. The scars on the skin are transformed into images and narratives, and the afterimages in the memory are recorded as contemporary testimonies.

  2. 기술의 진보가 만든 균열 속에서 만화는 독립적으로 유통될 수 있음을 믿는다. 특정 제도나 플랫폼에 종속되지 않는 그 균열을 확장하는 꿈을 꾼다.
    I believe that comics can be distributed independently in the cracks created by technological advances.
    I dream of expanding those cracks, which are not dependent on any particular system or platform.

Lost in seoulcity


Lost in seoulcity는 2024년부터 현재까지 진행되고 있는 해성의 프로젝트 세계관이다. 동시대의 평행 우주, 서울에서는 철거와 재건축이 반 세기 동안 지속되며 스러지는 건물들과 함께 미련과 기억조차 사라지게 되었다. 한국의 발전에 따라 서울로 인구가 몰리며, 서울은 불법 증축된 건물로 빽빽이 쌓이게 되었다. 정부와 서울시는 안전 상의 이유로 낙후된 불법 건축물들을 철거 및 재건축하는 사업을 공격적으로 추진했다. 그 결과 한강을 경계선으로 강남은 깨끗하고 안전한 계획 도시의 형태가, 강북은 철거와 재건축이 반복되는 초고층의 슬럼가가 되었다. 철거 현장의 한가운데, 끝없이 증축된 거대 상가 주택의 꼭대기에는 스스로 행방불명을 선택한 아이들의 집이 있다.

Lost in seoulcity is a project universe by Haesung that takes place from 2024 to the present day. In a contemporary parallel universe, Seoul has been demolished and reconstructed for half a century, leaving behind crumbling buildings that have been lost to time and memory. As South Korea's development pushes the population to Seoul, the city has become densely packed with illegally constructed buildings. For safety reasons, the government and the city of Seoul aggressively pursued the demolition and reconstruction of these dilapidated, illegal structures. The result is a clean, safe, planned city bordered by the Han River, while Gangnam is a high-rise slum where demolition and reconstruction are repeated. In the middle of the demolition site, atop an endless row of giant commercial houses, is a home for children who have chosen to disappear.
